Klang Sound Sculptures

Stoneware, electronics

2023 – 2025

A series of 14 sound sculptures, each a testament to organic forms, handcrafted in stoneware clay.

This project emerged from an artistic collaboration in 2023, created for a release concert. The sound sculptures first formed the scenography on stage that also functioned as live instruments during the music performance.

The project evolved further in 2024 leading to the creation of the product series «Klang». This development was commissioned by a contemporary fashion boutique F5 in Oslo, dedicated to promote local artists.

The name 'Klang,' meaning 'resonance' in Norwegian, encapsulates the very essence of the project – the acoustic properties of the ceramic shapes.

Special thanks to graphic designer Mathilda Gustafsson for the visual media profile, photoshoots, Roar Skotte for visual animations and to Hamlam for composing and performing a special audio piece at the launch event.
