HÉLÈNE ARJA
Her practice represents work that explores human relations to nature. Her objects invite dialogues about place identities, belonging, and rituals.
Hélène Arja is a Norwegian sculptoress and spatial artist currently rooted in Oslo. Educated within the handcrafts of sculptural work, she is specialized in place identities, creating installations, scenography and sculptural objects.
She specialized in fine art at high school, and sculptures and objects at university. She holds a 5 year (MA) in Design from The Oslo School of Architecture and Design, with a specialization on place-identities. Hélène also studied sociology at The Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and Research and storytelling (BA) from Media University College in Kristiansand.
A red thread to all her work is her dedicated attention to place-specific qualities.
